Policy Updates August 26, 2022:

HRM-022: Employment Eligibility Verification (Completing Form I-9). Revised to remove references to out-dated processes and reflect current practices. Added the requirement to upload the Form I-9 into the Human Resource Management System.

HRM-013.03: Family, Medical, and Military Leave, formerly HRM-026. Revised to comply with the amended Family and Medical Leave Act which expanded the military-related leave provisions.

PRM-017: Use of University Facilities or Property and Limits on Direct Solicitation and Advertising. Added a provision that third-party vendors must comply with University policies and procedures.
Policy Updates August 9, 2022:
- SEC-045: COVID-19 Health & Safety Requirements – Vaccination, Testing, Face Masks, Events and Gatherings, and Visitors for the 22-23 Academic Year. Updated definition of Fully Vaccinated to include the Novavax vaccine. Revised Section 4. Events and Gatherings such that individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidance for in-person events/gatherings.
Policy Updates August 8, 2022:
- SEC-030: Regulation of Weapons, Fireworks, Explosives, and Other Prohibited Items. Clarified the definition of Prohibited Items during an Occurrence - Limited in reference to an electronic control weapon (e.g., taser).
Policy Updates August 2, 2022:
- STU-005: Prohibition on Hazing. Added Section 5. Prevention Training and 6. Public Reporting in response to Adam’s Law.
Policy Updates from June 2022 through August 1, 2022:

IRM-018: Issuance of a Community Alert (Timely Warning) and SEC-035: Clery Act Compliance. Revised to reflect change in terminology from a Timely Warning to a Community Alert.

FIN-051: Proposing and Managing Cost Sharing on Sponsored Programs. Revised with new terminology and processes associated with the launch of ResearchUVA Powered by Huron and Workday Financials. Deleted the defined term Electronic Proposal Routing Form and replaced with the term Funding Proposal.

FIN-009: Facilities & Administrative Rate Application and Exception Process. Updated titles and department names.

FIN-017: Consistent Treatment of Sponsored Program Costs. Added the definition of Sponsored Program to refer to a sponsored program rather than a sponsored award.

HRM-050: Protection of Minors and Reporting Abuse. Specified that a Background Check must include an alias search if applicable.
- These policies were updated to reflect the move to Workday Financials:
- FIN-050: Recording and Depositing Expenditure Credits. Added new definitions - Foundation Data Module, Worktags, Spend Category.
- FIN-044: Use of the University Travel and Expense Card. Added the requirements of FIN-039: Obtaining a Cash Advance (subsequently retired) to this Policy.
- FIN-004: Travel, Meals, and Entertainment Expenses Incurred on Behalf of the University. Replaced the term Vendor with Supplier. Updated Section 3. Catering and Section 4. Companion and Non-Employee Travel, Meals, and Entertainment Expense.
- FIN-021: Internal Control. Expanded on the responsibilities outlined in the Policy.
- FIN-023: Reconciling Unit Accounting Records. Added new definitions - Account Certification, Cost Center, Designated Worktag, Gift Worktag, Grant Worktag, Worktags.
