Policy Revisions:

GOV-002: Reporting and Investigation of Fraudulent Transactions. This policy was revised to bring the policy up to date with current ethical issues in higher education, add responsibilities related to investigations, and identify consequences for non-compliance.

IRM-008:University Information Technology Accessibility. The revised policy defines new terms, updates the policy statement and related information section, and adds the Compliance with Policy section.

SEC-045: COVID-19 Health & Safety Requirements – Vaccination, Testing, Face Masks, Events and Gatherings, and Visitors. Policy revisions include:
- Added the definition of University Property. (10/1)
- Revised Section 3 Exceptions for Teaching such that specific course-related exemptions include for-credit drama, dance and instrumental music activities to be handled by the schools, in consultation with the Provost’s Office. Also added an exception for Intramural-Recreational Sports Indoor and Aquatic Venues. (10/22)
- Updated Section 1. Faculty and Staff such that all full-time and part-time UVA faculty and staff, including those working remotely, must by fully vaccinated by December 8, 2021. Clarified Section 2. Testing to denote that testing requirements apply to all unvaccinated students and Academic Division employees (with exceptions as noted). (10/28)
Policy Additions:
- PROV-033: Restrictions on Certain Romantic or Sexual Relationships at the University. This policy restricts certain types of relationships between instructors (whether faculty or otherwise) and students. The policy primarily applies to faculty as well as other referenced groups who sometimes serve in instructional capacities.
